The 50 State Quarters Program began in 1999 with the first five designs of the series. Coins were issued honoring Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, and Connecticut. 1999 Quarter Connecticut Worth
Delaware State Quarter
The Delaware Quarter was the first coin in the State Quarter series. It was released on January 4, 1999 and features the famous historical figure Caesar Rodney on horseback. As the first State Quarter this is one of the most widely remembered reverse designs.
Pennsylvania State Quarter
The Pennsylvania Quarter was the second coin in the State Quarter series. It was released on March 8, 1999 and features the statue “Commonwealth.” This design broke from simplicity and contained three elements: the statue, a keystone, and an outline of the state.
New Jersey State Quarter
The New Jersey Quarter was the third coin in the State Quarter series. It was released on May 17, 1999 and features a scene of George Washington crossing the Delaware River. This was one of the more elaborate scenes portrayed on the tiny reverse of the quarter.
Georgia State Quarter
The Georgia Quarter was the fourth coin in the State Quarter series. It was released on July 19, 1999 and features the Georgia peach. The quarter also contains a collection of symbols related to the state including the state tree, state motto, and an outline of the state.
Connecticut State Quarter
The Connecticut Quarter was the fifth coin in the State Quarter series. It was released on October 12, 1999 and features the Charter Oak of Connecticut. Many consider this to be one of the most beautiful designs of the series.

Design
On the reverse side of the coin there is an image of a peach. Georgia is known as The Peach State and this fruit has long been a part of the state's history. In addition to the peach there are two live oak branches on the coin. These branches pay tribute to the state's official tree, the live oak. Georgia's state motto can also be seen on the coin. The state motto is 'Wisdom, Justice, Moderation'.
The year 1788 is inscribed on the coin because this was the year that Georgia officially joined the union.

The US minted different series of the Georgia quarter. There is the 1999 P quarter, 1999 D quarter, 1999 S proof quarter and 1999 S silver proof quarter.
Proof coins are essentially coins that have more detail. They are minted on special planchets and it takes longer to produce them. They are specifically made for collectors so you won't find any in your spare change.

The standard 1999 Georgia clad quarters in circulated condition are only worth their face value of $0.25. These coins only sell for a premium in the higher condition grades.
Both the 1999 P Georgia quarter and 1999 D Georgia quarter are each worth around $0.50 in about uncirculated condition. The value is around $2 in uncirculated condition with an MS 63 grade. Uncirculated coins with a grade of MS 65 can sell for around $5.

About uncirculated- There is a slight trace of wear on the high points of the design. Half of the coin's mint luster is still intact.
MS 63 choice uncirculated- In the major focal areas there are some blemishes or contact marks. The coin's luster might not be as prominent.
MS 65 gem uncirculated- There is strong luster and eye appeal. A few light contact marks may be present but they are barely noticeable.
1999 Quarterbacks
PR 65 proof- There are no flaws to this coin. A few blemishes may be present.
